Former President, Jacob Zuma is admitted
Former president Jacob Zuma who is carrying out his punishment has been allegedly hospitalized not many days before his preliminary starts in Pietermaritzburg High Court, Daily Sun said.
“The department can confirm that former president Jacob Zuma has today, 06 August 2021, been admitted to an outside hospital for medical observation,” said spokesman Singabakho Nxumalo.
It was said that as indicated by the constitution, each prisoner and serving detainee has the option to clinical treatment and different advantages.
“A routine observation prompted that Mr Zuma be taken for in-hospitalisation,” said Nxumalo.
Zuma is relied upon to show up in court for his supplication hearing on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Judge Pete Koen gave a mandate that the matter would continue in an open court. This was after Zuma would not have his matter heard basically.
“The 79-year-old, 1st prisoner of the ConCourt, jailed without trial is attending to his annual medical routine checkup. No need to be alarmed… yet,” read a short statement posted on Zuma’s foundation official Twitter page.
The Jacob Zuma Foundation representative Mzwanele Manyi said the previous president was not playing any game utilizing his wellbeing, as he as a great deal to unveil in the court.
